Direct Air Capture

Kerone is an innovative company that leads to the modern environmental technologies. Kerone is spearheading innovative strategies in the fight against climate change. Our objective is to create a more sustainable environment that will endure for many generations. Since Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology is designed to remove carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere and prevent global warming, we plan to use it. a dedicated group of individuals who are passionate about protecting the environment and working to make the world a better, greener place.

Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology pulls in atmospheric air, extracts carbon dioxide (CO2) from it through a series of chemical reactions, and releases the leftover air back into the surrounding environment. This is how trees and plants photosynthesize every day; however, Direct Air Capture technology accelerates this process and uses less area.

The procedure starts with an air contactor, a large device modeled after industrial cooling towers. This device uses a large fan to suck air in and then distributes it across thin plastic surfaces that are rubbed with potassium hydroxide solution. This non-toxic solution pulls CO2 molecules from the environment and deposits them as a carbonate salt in the liquid solution by binding them chemically.

The CO2 in this carbonate solution is finally provided in gas form, ready for consumption or storage, after undergoing a series of chemical reactions to increase its concentration, purify, and compress it. This can be accomplished by removing salt from solution and forming it into small pellets using a pellet reactor, a device adapted from water treatment technology. This chemical reaction not only precipitates out the calcium carbonate pellets but also regenerates the original capture chemical that was to be used in the air contactor.

The final step in our method involves roasting these pellets in a calciner to liberate the CO2 as pure gas. Additionally, this process produces calcium oxide, which is rehydrated with water in the slacker and then fed back into the pellet reactor to resume the cycle.

    Direct air capture's advantages :
  • Carbon Removal: By directly lowering atmospheric CO2 levels, Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology successfully fights climate change.
  • Scalability: Direct Air Capture (DAC) systems are flexible enough to be applied to a wide range of applications since they can be deployed at different scales.
  • Carbon Neutrality: A circular carbon economy can be facilitated by incorporating used CO2 into a variety of activities.
  • Mitigating Climate Impacts: Direct Air Capture (DAC) can lessen the effects of global warming, such as extreme weather occurrences and increasing sea levels, by actively lowering CO2 levels.

How Is Kerone's Direct Air Capture Leading?
Leading the way in the development and implementation of state-of-the-art technologies that successfully and economically extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere is Kerone. Our large-scale DAC systems are built to have a significant effect on carbon removal initiatives. We consistently improve and optimize our DAC technology with a dedication to innovation and sustainability, aiming to make it a scalable and easily accessible solution for businesses, governments, and individuals alike.
